In communicating our passion to help institutions comply with sound ethical practices, we welcomed the consultation by the Central Bank of Nigeria to improve its Net Worth Declaration Policy in relation to the top management staff. For about four months, we worked tirelessly to develop an operational, upgraded and strengthened Net Worth Declaration Regime for the CBN in order to reinforce a regime of transparency and accountability in the CBN and banking sector.
To facilitate compliance with the relevant laws, we created a newly improved Net Worth Declaration Form including a web-form leveraging on ICT based on best international practice. We further developed a workable manual and an effective Standard Operating Procedure to assist the Banking Supervision Department and the key stakeholders in complying with the net worth declaration policy.
